Relax With An All-Inclusive Family Vacation
For families who want to spend more time relaxing and less worrying about where to eat, what to do, and how to get there, all-inclusive family vacations are ideal. These one-stop holidays cut down on the time spent searching for vacation basics by grouping accommodation, food, and activities together in a single package.
All-inclusive hotels charge a single rate that covers your room, meals – usually three a day – and some activities. Many resorts offer buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner, but also have a few other specialty restaurants, which require reservations. Most also have a pool-side grill, where you can pick up a quick snack between meals.
Adults can enjoy drinks – including alcoholic ones – at any time, and in any amount. Don’t worry, though – children and teens have different colored wristbands than adults, so underage travelers won’t be doing free Tequila shots when you’re not looking.
Some all-inclusive packages include the use of beach equipment, although others will ask you to pay extra for on-site activities such as parasailing or kayaking. This style of accommodation also frequently includes camp-style daycare, so if you and your spouse want a day to snorkel behind a secluded reef, you can park younger family members at these safe venues.
Entertainment is also easy to come by at all-inclusive resorts. Expect to be serenaded by local talent over dinner, and taught new dance steps after. In the daytime, many of these hotels offer a vibrant array of poolside games to keep children and high-energy adults amused.
Even with much to see, do, and eat at all-inclusive hotels, you may want to briefly escape to a different atmosphere, or see surrounding sights of interest. Most resorts will gladly arrange a tour, or call safe, authorized cab drivers to help you enjoy the area around your hotel – and bring you safely back.
